Track record

What changed when teams worked to their preferences.

Sariio grows out of a work preference map David first built in 2007. Sariio’s first generation, Saviio MAPs, was used by contact centres, outsourcers, recruiters and brands across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, in ten languages including Arabic and Mandarin. About 12,000 people in more than 40 organisations used it.

These are the results those clients reported at the time, with a link to each original case study, kept in the Saviio archive so you can read it in full.

In numbers

What clients reported.

41 of 42outsourced technical advisers stayed from induction to the end of a nine-month contract (global accounting software provider, 2011)
27%above first-month premium income target for new outbound sales agents (UK outbound BPO, 2011)
10%+average fall in annual attrition across five major outsourced client campaigns (Sitel)
35%+lower placement drop-out rate since 2009 (Nigel Frank International)
17%average rise in in-flight sales on the routes where the changes were made (travel organisation, 2011)
10languages, from Danish and Norwegian to Arabic and Mandarin (saviio.com, 2010)

In contact centres and BPOs

Four floors, one starting point.

Each of these began by mapping the people already doing the role well, then used that map to select, train and coach.

How do you staff a tax-year peak and keep the service your client is known for?

An outsourced contact centre recruited 42 extra technical advisers for a software company’s tax-year peak by selecting against the client’s own top performers. 41 stayed to the end of the nine-month contract, and the client then hired 28 of them.

Read the detailClose the detail
  • The situation. A global software provider supporting thousands of small and medium-sized accounting practices needed 42 more technical advisers for the end of the tax year, and gave the work to an outsourced contact centre.
  • What they did. The contact centre mapped the top performers in the role at the client and benchmarked every candidate against that map during selection.
  • What changed. One of the 42 left during induction. The other 41 stayed until the contract ended nine months later. The client then filled 28 internal posts straight from the contact centre’s team.

The contact centre won the contract because it could show its client how it would attract, engage, develop and keep the right people.

How do new outbound agents reach target sooner?

A UK outbound BPO working on campaigns for Orange, Sky and Barclaycard mapped its clients’ top performers and rebuilt its sales training around how its agents prefer to work. 55% of new starters beat their sales target within four days on the phones.

Read the detailClose the detail
  • The situation. Three sites, in London, Brighton and Nottingham, with teams dedicated to each client. New starters had to absorb the client’s culture, products and sales process quickly, and experienced agents needed to keep performing consistently.
  • What they did. They selected against a map of each client’s top performers. Internal sales trainers learned to read the maps and rewrote the training to fit the preferences of the people in the room.
  • What changed. In the trainer’s own words, 55% of new starters exceeded their sales target within four days. New agents held a 9.5% conversion rate and beat their first-month premium income target by £17,485, up 27%. On the Orange outbound campaign all three sites beat target, and Nottingham, whose trainer had used the maps, kept improving while the other two peaked and then fell back.

This is the closest early match to what Sariio does now. The sales process stayed the same. The coaching changed to fit the people.

What happens to attrition when team leaders know how each person works?

Sitel used the maps on five of its major outsourced client campaigns and reported annual attrition down by an average of more than 10%, a saving of more than six figures a year.

Read the detailClose the detail
  • Where. Five major outsourced client campaigns at Sitel UK.
  • What changed. Annual attrition fell by an average of more than 10%, and team leaders and campaign managers coached more effectively because they understood what each person in their team needed.
“Since implementing Saviio in five of our major outsourced clients’ campaigns we have managed to reduce the annual attrition rate by an average of over 10%, equivalent to an annual saving in excess of six figures. I have also noticed that our team leaders and campaign managers have created a “buzz about the place” by better understanding the needs of their teams and being able to coach them accordingly.”

Director, Corporate Development, Sitel

The saving came from people staying. The difference on the floor came from team leaders coaching each person in a way that suited them.

Can cabin crew sell more and keep every flight safe?

A value airline in an international leisure and travel group mapped its best cabin crew, then recruited and coached against that map. In-flight sales rose by 17% on average across the routes where the changes were made.

Read the detailClose the detail
  • The situation. Rising fuel costs and price-led online booking meant the airline needed crew who were motivated to sell and who kept to strict safety procedures without exception.
  • What they did. They mapped top performers in the role, used that map to select, interview and recruit, and rewrote the language and behaviour guidelines for cabin crew.
  • What changed. In-flight sales rose by an average of 17%. Crew said they were more motivated to sell and liked the new guidelines. Better retention saved about £100,000 against an investment of about £50,000 over six months, and the airline committed to using the maps for every role.

Selling and safety looked like a recruitment paradox. Mapping the people who already did both well showed what to select and coach for.

In recruitment across borders

Across borders, in each person’s own language.

Between 2008 and 2012 David worked with SAM Headhunting in Copenhagen, building the maps into its search process for placements across the Nordics, the DACH countries, the Middle East and China.

TL;DR

How does a search firm keep quality consistent across borders?

SAM Headhunting gave every consultant access to the maps, in each client’s and candidate’s own language, and made them part of how it sold and delivered search. It went on to open new offices in Scandinavia, Europe and the Far East.

Read the detailClose the detail
  • The situation. After 2008, margins tightened and clients expected the firm to underwrite the risk of a placement. A candidate needed to fit the culture as well as the skills brief.
  • What they did. Every consultant could use the maps with every client and candidate, in their language of choice, comparing and ranking results themselves at any hour. Consultants talked to clients about outcomes and return on each assignment.
  • What changed. More cross-border assignments, new offices in Scandinavia, Europe and the Far East, more repeat business, and the maps adopted as a strategic tool in how the firm won and delivered work.
“We use Saviio MAPs to improve the quality of our service to our clients and candidates. We have now made Saviio MAPs a strategic tool in our offer and look forward to a long relationship with Saviio.”

Board member, SAM Headhunting, Denmark

The conversation with clients moved from filling a vacancy to how well the person would fit and stay.

How do you stop good placements falling through?

Nigel Frank International, the Microsoft Dynamics recruiter with offices across EMEA, the USA and APAC, has used the maps since 2009 and reported its drop-out rate down by more than 35%.

Read the detailClose the detail
  • Where. Global recruitment of Microsoft Dynamics professionals, with offices in EMEA, the USA and APAC.
  • What they did. Gave clients and candidates a shared view of how well they would work together, and used the same maps to profile the internal team and compare internal candidates.
  • What changed. The drop-out rate fell by more than 35%, with better customer satisfaction and more repeat business.
“By using Saviio we have reduced our drop-out rate by over 35% leading to improved customer satisfaction and repeat business levels.”

Nigel Frank International

Clients and candidates could see how they would work together before they committed, which is when it is cheapest to get right.

Today

The same starting point, with your coaching data alongside.

Every one of those results started by mapping the people already doing the role well. Sariio still starts there. Sariio adds your QA scores and call analytics, and prepares each coaching conversation around how that person prefers to work, at the cadence you set.

Between February and May 2026 David worked with Everflow in Cape Town, with a ten-agent BPO sales team. What it pointed at was the value of building the profile from the people already succeeding in the same role in the UK, and selecting against that rather than against a general idea of a good agent.

Shadow Global reports that its partner organisations can now hold a data-led conversation about fit at interview, which they had not been able to do before.

Shadow Global, Cape Town

“Sariio strengthens our ability to have meaningful, data-led conversations with employer partners about candidate fit, while empowering our Shadows with greater insight into their strengths and potential.”
